09:10Jump to David Itzkoff segment

New York Times culture critic, Dave Itzkoff, returns to the podcast for his second visit. He was last on Episode 349 discussing his earlier book “The Making of Network and the Fateful Vision of the Angriest Man in Movies” (Picador Press, 2014). Dave’s back to discuss his most recent book, “Robin” (Henry Holt & Co., 2018), now available in paperback. I invited Dave back on to do this segment because on August 11th it will mark the 5th anniversary since the passing of the comedian and actor Robin Williams. Before embarking on this book, Dave had already written two feature articles with Williams’ participation, and was invited to write the New York Times obituary as well on his sudden passing. This conversation took place at the offices of the New York Times in New York City.
